Chrome and Firefox give the smoothest ride—we test every update against these first. Safari and Edge work fine too, though you might notice slightly slower rendering on complex dashboards.

When you're syncing bank feeds or importing CSV files, connection speed determines wait times. A reliable 10 Mbps connection feels faster than an inconsistent 50 Mbps one that drops packets.
Browser Recommendations and Why They Matter
Chrome handles JavaScript-heavy operations with the least fuss. If you're running bulk imports or working with accounts that have thousands of transactions, Chrome's V8 engine shows its strength.
Firefox comes close and uses less memory if you're the type who keeps fifty tabs open. Safari works beautifully on Mac and iPad—Apple's optimization shows. Edge has improved dramatically since Microsoft switched to Chromium in 2020.
Network Considerations and Remote Access
Working from regional Australia or anywhere with patchy mobile coverage? The platform includes offline capability for basic viewing. You can check balances and review recent transactions even when connection drops, though you'll need to reconnect to perform updates.
VPN use is completely fine—many of our clients connect through corporate networks. Just be aware that some aggressive VPN configurations can slow down real-time bank feed updates.
Security note: We require HTTPS connections across the board. If you're on public Wi-Fi, that's one less thing to worry about—your data stays encrypted in transit.

Bank statement PDFs require a bit more processing power on your end—the browser handles text extraction locally before sending data to our servers. A reasonably modern device won't struggle, but older tablets might take an extra few seconds.
Accessibility Features and Assistive Technology
Screen readers including JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver work throughout the platform. We follow WCAG 2.1 AA standards as a baseline and push for AAA where practical.
Keyboard navigation covers all functions—you can manage budgets, run reports, and update categories without touching a mouse. High contrast mode in your OS settings carries through to our interface.

Software Updates and Maintenance Windows
Platform updates happen Tuesday nights between 10 PM and midnight AEST. Downtime averages three to seven minutes, and we send email notifications 48 hours ahead.
