Technical Requirements for Budget Monitoring

Getting your setup right makes everything smoother. Our platform runs on most modern devices, but knowing what works best helps you plan ahead and avoid hiccups down the track.

We built loprienaxio to be accessible without demanding top-tier hardware. That said, certain configurations will give you a better experience when you're juggling multiple accounts or running detailed reports.

Desktop and Laptop Systems

Most computers from the past five years handle our platform without any fuss. If you're running Windows 10 or later, macOS Catalina onward, or a recent Linux distribution, you're sorted.

Chrome and Firefox give the smoothest ride—we test every update against these first. Safari and Edge work fine too, though you might notice slightly slower rendering on complex dashboards.

  • Dual-core processor (2.0 GHz or higher)
  • 4GB RAM minimum, 8GB for heavy use
  • 1280×720 display resolution at minimum
  • Stable internet: 5 Mbps down, 1 Mbps up
  • Browser updated within the last six months

Mobile and Tablet Access

The mobile experience mirrors desktop functionality—no stripped-down version here. iOS 14+ and Android 9+ cover most bases, and we've spent considerable time making sure touch interactions feel natural.

Tablets with 10-inch screens give you room to work comfortably. Phones work too, but if you're dealing with multi-column reports, switching to landscape view helps.

  • iOS 14 or Android 9 operating systems minimum
  • 2GB RAM for phones, 3GB for tablets
  • Safari, Chrome, or Firefox mobile browsers
  • Wi-Fi or 4G connection recommended
  • Touch-friendly interface optimized for all sizes

What Actually Matters for Performance

Processing power doesn't top the list like you might expect. Internet stability and browser choice have far bigger impacts on day-to-day use.

When you're syncing bank feeds or importing CSV files, connection speed determines wait times. A reliable 10 Mbps connection feels faster than an inconsistent 50 Mbps one that drops packets.

Browser Recommendations and Why They Matter

Chrome handles JavaScript-heavy operations with the least fuss. If you're running bulk imports or working with accounts that have thousands of transactions, Chrome's V8 engine shows its strength.

Firefox comes close and uses less memory if you're the type who keeps fifty tabs open. Safari works beautifully on Mac and iPad—Apple's optimization shows. Edge has improved dramatically since Microsoft switched to Chromium in 2020.

Preferred Browsers Chrome 108+, Firefox 110+, Safari 15.4+, Edge 108+
Screen Resolution 1280×720 minimum, 1920×1080 optimal for dashboard view
Internet Speed 5 Mbps download minimum, 10 Mbps for optimal sync performance
Storage Space Browser cache uses 50-150MB depending on activity
Cookie Settings First-party cookies required, third-party optional

Network Considerations and Remote Access

Working from regional Australia or anywhere with patchy mobile coverage? The platform includes offline capability for basic viewing. You can check balances and review recent transactions even when connection drops, though you'll need to reconnect to perform updates.

VPN use is completely fine—many of our clients connect through corporate networks. Just be aware that some aggressive VPN configurations can slow down real-time bank feed updates.

Security note: We require HTTPS connections across the board. If you're on public Wi-Fi, that's one less thing to worry about—your data stays encrypted in transit.

Two-factor authentication adds minimal overhead. Most users report the extra second or two is worth the peace of mind, especially when managing business finances.

File Uploads and Data Import Specifications

CSV and OFX files work universally. We support files up to 10MB, which covers even the busiest accounts with years of transaction history. Excel files (.xlsx) import smoothly too, though converting to CSV first can speed things up.

Bank statement PDFs require a bit more processing power on your end—the browser handles text extraction locally before sending data to our servers. A reasonably modern device won't struggle, but older tablets might take an extra few seconds.

Accessibility Features and Assistive Technology

Screen readers including JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver work throughout the platform. We follow WCAG 2.1 AA standards as a baseline and push for AAA where practical.

Keyboard navigation covers all functions—you can manage budgets, run reports, and update categories without touching a mouse. High contrast mode in your OS settings carries through to our interface.

Testing approach: Our team includes users with vision impairment who test every feature release. If something doesn't work with your assistive tech, we want to know about it.

Software Updates and Maintenance Windows

Platform updates happen Tuesday nights between 10 PM and midnight AEST. Downtime averages three to seven minutes, and we send email notifications 48 hours ahead.

Browser updates matter more than you might think. Outdated browsers miss security patches and performance improvements. We display a gentle reminder if your version falls more than three months behind, though everything still functions.

Ready to Check Your Setup?

If your device meets the basic specs outlined above, you're good to explore the platform. Questions about compatibility? Our support team tests configurations daily and can offer specific guidance.
